Genital herpes is a very common sexually transmitted disease. But it is interesting that some people can be just carriers of the virus, and although they are infected, their disease is not shown.
We know two types of genital herpes: herpes simplex 1 and herpes simplex 2. The second type is the most common cause of herpes on genitals, and both can cause herpes on the lips and genitals. The virus enters the body through any mucous membrane. Incubation time before the outbreak of symptoms usually lasts 12 to 14 days, and then there are shorter and somewhat milder outbreaks of symptoms from four to five days.
